Games and Food
This is Tail of the Sun, an obscure PSone game where your goal is to take the cave-people to the big yellow ball in the sky. To do this you take control of a chieftain and eat random crap you find throughout the land to level up your stats like running, jumping, swimming, strength, and fertility so you can create future cave-people who are strong enough to take on mammoths for their tusks in order to build the structure that will take your people to the sun.

Also the food you eat that are not living animals are sugar cookies. It’s great.

Endless Space is a 4x strategy game, and just like most strategy games, Food is an important (if abstract) resource. Different planet types have varying amounts of food, which is needed to grow your population so you can settle other planets and gain productivity. There are some special resources which I guess you could call food that grant special properties (Like the spice melange from Dune) to your empire if you control that resource.

Another comedic simulation game that is set in the midst of the mundane
